Rubber Coatings: High-Performance Sealing for Your Most Demanding Applications

MSC Rubber Coatings provide compression set and torque retention sealing capabilities on a broad range of automotive products including engine intake manifolds, head and other engine gaskets, transmissions, braking system, air-conditioning cylinder head and valve plate. They are also used on motorcycles, small engines, heavy duty diesels, oil drilling and industrial equipment.
MSC can coat cold-rolled steel, stainless steel and aluminum with Nitrile Rubber (NBR), Fluorocarbon Elastomer (FKM), and various foamed rubbers to meet specific application requirements. MSC rubber coatings can be finished with “touchable” PTFE to resist scuffing, marring and blocking rather than the more commonly used graphite, which creates a mess when handled.
Thermosetting NBR will not soften at elevated temperatures, is scratch, scuff and abrasion resistant and can be used in contact with diesel fuel, oil, gasoline, gasohol, water, ethylene glycol and transmission fluids.
FKM is suitable for temperatures up to 400º F and is resistant to the same fluids as NBR as well as many acids, bases and salts.
