MSC MatSealâ gasket material is the basis of superior sealing solution for the most sophisticated powertrain applications successfully meeting the challenges of sealing dissimilar materials, operating at higher temperatures and withstanding the more chemically aggressive fuels and fluids found in today’s engines. MatSeal coatings include Fluorocarbon Elastomer (FKM), Nitrile Rubber (NBR), Foamed NBR and Halogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR), each of which provides an optimal sealing solution for a specific range of powertrain applications.

MSC Rubber Coatings include Nitrile Rubber (NBR), Halogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR), Foamed Nitrile Rubber and Fluorocarbon Elastomer (FKM) applied to cold-rolled steel, stainless steel and aluminum substrates. These materials provide compression set and torque retention sealing capabilities on a broad range of products. Many can be finished with “touchable” PTFE to resist scuffing, marring and blocking rather than the more commonly used graphite, which creates a mess when handled.
