Meeting the Needs of MSC’s South Asian Customers
with Locally-Sourced Processed Metals and “Print-To-Part” Support

MSC customers in southern Asia depend on the resources of our manufacturing facility in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to supply their needs for the cleaned, treated, coated or laminated metals, including Quiet Steel^®, they need. The plant has multiple processing lines including precision coil slitting and edge trim plus warehousing, logistics and international shipping support, coil packaging, and a full inspection capability to deliver MSC products quickly and efficiently.

In conjunction with MSC’s Shanghai Application Development Center, MSC-Korea and partners in China, the Kuala Lumpur plant can support customer requirements for shim prototyping, NVH brake dynamometer testing, production shim stamping, and stamping tool builds. The Center’s flexible, in-house machining resources are available to quickly supply prototype tooling for proof-of-concept testing.

Once a product design is accepted, MSC-Malaysia can supply production tooling to support volume manufacturing and even provide short-runs of production parts using its in-house stamping capabilities. MSC-Malaysia also maintains relationships with upstream and downstream partners who can supply everything from specialized materials to sophisticated post-manufacturing processes for customer parts.
